Food Gifts Via Mail - Nice surprise

  • 3

I've sent food as gifts (gift baskets, cheese assortments, candy, etc) but only twice have I ever received them. Once was actually a company sending me the winnings from a context I won (Wisconsin Cheeseman). which was a 5lb of Cheddar. I figured they'd send me this little sampler, but this was great.

Today was the best. Been stressed and opened my front door around 7pm after spending the day inside and there was a small package by the door. It was from a friend and when I opened it there were three large cookies in a trick or treat bag. White Chocoloate Blueberry. I can't lie. I expected them to be stale, but they were perfect. Not only that, as someone who doesn't like sweets, they are arguably the best cookies I've ever tasted. I had experienced this persons cooking and baking before, so I know he had talent, but these were sinful.

Gotta say, I look forward to more surprises like this. totally unexpected

  1. Our Son-in-Love and Daughter have sent us wonderful food gifts. They are in NH and know we love lobsters and have sent them several times. They arrive live and well packaged. We have a feast when these arrive. It is such a perfect gift for us and we have never tasted fresher then these.
    Thanks forever, Laura & Paul.

    1. My MIL is notoriously difficult to shop for, so we've started sending her food gifts for her birthday. Last year, it was a collection of English Teas, this year was Wolferman's English Muffins. She's been quite pleased so far! We'll have to come up a new creative idea by next August 3. :)

      1. Can't go wrong with Zingerman's. http://www.zingermans.com/
I was given the 6 month Forbidden Foods Club as a gift. Every item in it was really good.

        But hey this is Zingerman's.
