Lunch near Federal Reserve Bank

I am looking for a place for lunch near the Fed. Going with the inlaws and a somewhat picky teenager. Ambiance is more important to my mother in law than the food. Just to give you an idea-she really loves Jean George, Perry St., Tao. She would like to go to someplace nice but I am concerned that if we get to lunch at noon would we be able to make a 2:15pm reservation at the bank. Someplace close would be ideal. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Ise on Pine street is also nice if sushi is an option (with the caveat that I'm a vegetarian and can't tell you anything about the quality of the fish, though I know lots of people who think it's good). It's not quite as fancy as the places you listed, but they have an efficient lunch service and nice atmosphere. It's very close to the Fed - a block and a half away.

Les Halles is the other 'nice' choice in the area. On John Street it's quite a bit closer to the Fed Reserve than is SHO and is more brasserie than fine-dining.

Is this for a weekday or weekend?

Ambiance-wise, SHO Shaun Hergatt would probably work best but the chef (Shaun Hergatt) left at the end of July. They only serve weekday lunch.

If you have a 2:15pm appointment at the bank, I'd make sure the restaurant knows both when you book and when you sit down.
