Frozen blueberries

I just found an unopened package of frozen blueberries with a best before date of July, 2011. Would they still be ok to use?

I would use them unless they had ice crystalization in the bag that would indicate to me that their time is done.

Finally got around to opening the bag: the berries were basically an ice-block. I rinsed some to defrost and saw they had become all wrinkly but used them in a smoothie anyway. It was dreadful! Lesson learned.

We were recently gifted a Costco container (maybe 2 pounds) of blueberries that were grown in Michigan. They were insipid to be very honest, so I decided to freeze them in hopes of baking with them when the weather cools down a bit. I placed the berries in several of those Chinese soup containers and put them all in the freezer not worried about freezer burn.

Health and safety-wise, you're fine. Flavor-wise, you're in the best position to tell.

            Absolutely fine.

Those best before dates are, IMO, a marketing gimick. I'd have no reservation in using them.

Yeah, I'm of the same mind. I just hope they haven't suffered freezer burn.
