Recipe for broccoli slaw
I made a broccoli salad using just the florets, now have a bunch of stems left. I thought I'd shred them in the food processor and make them into a slaw. Does anyone have a recipe that doesn't use mayonnaise? I Googled for info and found Paula Deen's recipe including ramen noodles and 3/4 stick of butter - yuck! Looking for something lighter please.

Create a marinade with rice wine vinegar, diced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, salt and toss with julienned broccoli stems, then drizzle with sesame oil before serving.

not really a recipe, but I have made a dressing with sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and a little soy sauce, and tossed it with the shredded brocolli, you can add whatever sounds good to it, maybe carrots, some type of nut, well you get the idea.
Be sure to peel them to get the tender part. It is easy with a paring knife.
