Cuckoo v Zojirushi rice cookers?

I've been using a Zojirushi NP-HBC18, it's leaving us soon. Decided to try a Cuckoo HF0610F. I've made short grain brown on the 'mixed/brown' setting, and on the GABA setting. In both, the rice was much more firm than produced by the Zojirushi. Also, the Cuckoo left a bit of light brown crust. Are these differences normal? Is this just Japanese vs Korean?

I am not sure cifzo, but I am considering a Cuckoo rice cooker, and was wondering how yours was holding up? Do you prefer it over your Zojirushi?

I ended up returning the Cuckoo. I cook a lot of brown rice, and I like the fluffier version that the Zojirushi produces. We're using an NP-HBC10 now. The NP-HBC18 went away to a kitchen used by several people in a dorm. It gets heavy use and is doing fine.
