Niantic to Mystic
My husband and I are headed to stay in Niantic next weekend for a little getaway. Would love some lunch and dinner recommendations - sticking to American or Italian - husband not adventurous! Any great places on the water? We will travel for a great meal - thanks in advance!-

For Italian, Paul's Pasta is on the Thames River in Groton and in the summer there is outdoor seating; the pastas and sauces are all housemade, so that's nice.
In Mystic, S&P Oyster Company can be quite good and is also on the water. In Niantic, The Black Sheep in Niantic has decent pub food and also has outdoor seating on Main Street, with Long Island Sound just across the street.

Hi, thanks so much for the recommendations! We ended up at the Main Street Grill (good meal) in Niantic Friday night for dinner as we decided to stay close to the Inn. Then we ate lunch in Westerly and had dinner at Mohegan Sun - Todd English's Tuscany - not the greatest. Will definitely try Paul's Pasta next time we are there. Someone also recommended On the Waterfront in New London.........
