good food near Convention Center [Denver]

janella Aug 9, 2012 11:41 AM

I will be in Denver for a conference later this month. Any suggestions for great food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) near the Convention Center? I will not have a car, and I'd prefer places I could walk to or take easy/quick public transport to. I've searched the boards and already know about Rioja, Row 14, Edge, Cho Lon, Osteria Marco, Snooze, and Olivea (though additional thoughts about these would be welcome, too). Thanks!

I ate twice at ChoLon last week, once for lunch and once for dinner. If you like Asian Fusion, this is excellent. My brother's favorite place in the area is the very expensive OceanPrime (seafood and steak as you can imagine), but I only met him there for a drink so can only vouch for the beautifully-made cocktails and tasty complimentary truffle-salted popocorn!

I went to Le Grande Bistro at 15th and Curtis for lunch a few days ago and had a really great time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I plan on making it one of my regular stops whenever I'm in town.
