Has anyone been recently? I've seen some recent travelers reviews--some from people who had gone before and had returned--that said it had fallen off in quality.
I've been there a few times, last time a while back. I always found it competent, but just uninspired and not worth the hype. If you want mind-blowing "traditional" washoku with an edge, you can't go wrong with Jiki Miyazawa. Love the place.
