Ball mason jars, 1 quart, $9.99/case of 12 @ Orchard Supply Hardware thru Sept 3
Heads up as we move into peak canning season. My local Orchard Supply Hardware store has Ball 1 quart jars (both regular and wide mouth) for $9.99 per case of 12. The sale is through September 3, 2012. For comparison, $11.99 at Ace (usually the lowest non-sale price), $15.99 at Walmart, $11.99 to $13.99 at supermarkets.
Also bought the hard-to-find plastic storage caps (white screw-on lids) there.
