New: Pulcinella Mozzerlla Bar and Ristorante

StevieC Aug 7, 2012 04:40 PM

They opened last Thursday, I hope to go soon:

The price point seems high, but I like the menu (although the menu on the website is not entirely the same as what was in the window today). At least they are aiming for something a little different than the saturated surroundings..

Finally! A restaurant website without flash. Way outside my price range, but I wish I could eat there just to support this choice.

Yet, it still manages to be one of the worst restaurant sites I've ever seen. Tons of Lorem Ipsum text, which actually isn't the worst content on the site given gems like:

"The cuisine that we prepare is in the Mediterranean style which has been, for centuries, the foundation of many cultures. Therefore, we needn’t be surprised by the gastronomical fulfillment of the complexity found in true example of regional cooking. "

Is this related to the Pulcinella restaurant in Huron Ave? Looks like it, but there is no "official" connection on the website.

Never understood how the Cambridge Pulcinella stays in business with its insane prices (e.g., $20 for spaghetti and meatballs).

Cross-reference real estate prices in Huron Village and you'll get the picture.

Also compare Ball Square's much less expensive Pescatore; the family who owns Pesc were, for many years, co-owners of Pulcinella. I believe the separation was amicable.

Walked by there last night. Looked like a small happy crowd in a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately didn't have time to stop.
