Thames Street Oyster House-what's the deal?

Went by there last week. Paper on the windows, but the door was unlocked. Bar was stocked, place was dark with nobody inside. Weird.

Have you called? Maybe they were closed for a private party or something similar.

It was lunch time. There was paper over the windows. The door was unlocked, so I stepped in I called out. Saw nor heard no one. There was booze on the shelf, but the place was dark and apparently uninhabited. But, no I haven't called. I just wondered if anyone had the scoop. Craving one of their amazing lobster rolls.

They aren't open for lunch Monday or Tuesday

Thames Street Oyster House is alive and well. Had outstanding oysters and a very good wilted spinach salad with mushrooms and fried oysters last night. Service was exceptional: not intrusive but intelligent and always available (server's name was Scotty)

Thanks for the update. I've been there a few times since.
