recommendations in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho?
We are spending 5 days in Harrison, Idaho, which is near Coeur d'Alene. Any recommendations for restaurants, groceries, or any other places of interest to a family of 4 (kids aged 6 and 9), plus a pair of grandparents? Thanks!
Oh, and we are driving from the Seattle area -- places of interest along the 5-hour drive are appreciated, also.
I'm guessing I'm a little late for this reply ... I hope you had a good trip!
For next time ... I just moved here so I don't know about a lot yet. Definitely nothing food related yet. (Other than Post Falls Coffee Co, which I love!) But we've taken the kids on the pirate cruise on Lake CDA, and they really enjoyed it! There's also a Christmas light tour cruise that we've heard is a lot of fun. I think you'd contact CDA Resort for info on those. The park right next to the resort has public beaches. Lots of fun in the summertime for the kids, so be sure to pack a suit and towels!
There's a fun carousel and huge Radio Flyer slide at the Riverfront park in Spokane. I've heard about a tram ride downtown for Spokane Falls, too, but again - since we just moved here we haven't done that yet. I did just run into a great toy store and book store in River Park Square downtown.
Finally, Silverwood (amusement and water park) is about an hour north of CDA. It's open May - October.
I'm hoping someone who has been here a little longer can chime in on the food scene!
