I was just looking up a recipe in The French Chef Cookbook which my mother gave me when I was 10. It's my favorite cookbook. I'm happy that Julia Child and I share a birthday.

I plan on entering the contest this weekend after I make a cake I created in my mind last night, inspired by Julia. I love the whole process of inventing a recipe. Thinking about something new, different combinations and twists. I hope mine is Julia worthy.

I also hope other chowhounds will enter this contest! Right now there are only two entries that I would consider worthy of Julia Child. Some of the submissions are totally thoughtless and inappropriate. Let's kick it up a notch, we're talking Julia here!
