Cracker Barrel coming to Freehold??

I read somewhere that Cracker Barrell is coming to Freehold, and is the process of being constructed on Rt. 9 by the Acme and across from the former Golden Bell Diner. If so, this would be AWESOME!!!!

Anyone else hear any word? No other talk on the 'net to confirm or deny.

That would be great.. decent breakfast for a chain. But I called CB direct, and was told there's nothing on the books right now, for Freehold or anywhere else in NJ.

In fact, when the new Olive Garden was being built in Freehold, I lamented to my wife, "If they're going to build a chain, at least give us something we don't already have... like a Cracker Barrel!"

The first restaurant my daughter was in was a Cracker Barrel, so it's kind of near and dear to my heart. :)

I have been to a CB one time and I was actually quite impressed with the breakfast I was served. It should do well in freehold I would imagine.

I wonder if pork roll will be on the menu ; )

I always get the chicken and dumplings. I haven't been to another restaurant that serves them. Supposedly, they make em fresh everyday, I'm always impressed at how affordable the check is.

I've heard both Cracker Barrell and Outback rumors for that site.

I doubt that Cracker Barrel is coming to Freehold. They usually build their restaurants along major highways.

My parents once took a bus tour to Graceland, and all the stops were at Cracker Barrels. They have no interest in ever again taking a bus tour or eating at Cracker Barrel.

I prefer Bob Evans to CB. Whenever I travel south to DC or Baltimore I try to stop at the one off of Exit 4 for breakfast.
