re: octate
It's always extremely helpful if those seeking good chow bother to list the places they've either tried or heard about. That way it eliminates wheel spinning on the part of posters trying to come up with suggestions that are already part of the process. Hope you'll report back on wherever you end up trying the lechon you find. That way the board knowledge will be enhanced and we all come out ahead. Thanks.

re: octate
My point is that I recalled my brother in law had mentioned a place to me (and I trust his judgement in food as he is a terrific cook and we share a love of a lot of the same places when it comes to good chow) but I couldn't recall the name or where it was. So when I saw your post I went ahead and called him for the info. I could have eliminated that step probably if you had put the places you already knew about in your post. You can always notate them with other information like; "haven't gone yet so would love to hear what you think" or whatever fits the situation.
