Bought two items from Opera vendor at Little Italy Farmer's Market-- and they were exquisite. An almond croissant and a vanilla macaroon. Has anyone been to their cafes? The vendor said there are two.

Only at the Farmers Market, but like you I thought the desserts were great. Pistachio and matcha in particular.

I used to work close to the cafe in Sorrento Mesa and went there often for lunch or stopped in the morning for a coffee and croissant. The food has always been excellent and the service precise and friendly. Lunchtime can be a bit hectic because of the proximity to so many businesses, but the staff is always accommodating. Definitely recommend a stop for the patisserie.

I have lunch at Opera 2-3 times a week. Great salads, quiche, crepes, and sandwiches. Weekly specials are usually excellent. Don't be put off by the long line, the food comes out quickly and the service is friendly and accommodating. Don't leave without trying something from the Patisserie.
