Peter's Cape Cod.
My husband and I went to St Anne's yesterday to look at all the boats, my favorite thing to do. We decided to stay for dinner and wanted seafood. After walking up and down the pier we found Peter's Cape Cod, and decided to try it.
Our waitress was very charming and happy to please. We decided on fish and chips and a fisherman's platter thinking that you couldn't go wrong with the basics, what a surprise. Upon receiving my fish and chips, I took one look and knew we were in trouble, frozen french fries, frozen veggies and tatziki sauce on the plate. When I dug into the fish it seemed either under done or bad. The meat was mushy and extremely greasy even with generous amounts of lemon squeezed on top, the frozen french fries had no frills or taste and the frozen veggies, even though it's peak season for produce in Montreal, were disgusting.
When we complained and asked to speak to the manager we were told that the manager wasn't there, on a Saturday night? The waitress expressed her apologies and asked if she could do anything for us and we told her we just wanted to go. The hostess then came over and asked what was wrong and we told her and she said it was funny how they never got any complaints (after doing a little research I can assure you they get a lot of complaints by the reviews I found).
We asked for the bill and they had the nerve to charge us full price for that crap.
Anyhow I am still feeling horrible from my experience last night and thought I should warn anyone who ventures out to try this place to go somewhere else. It really is terrible.
