Montreal downtown area ?

Looking for quality/creative restaurants in downtown area of Montreal during our 3 day visit next weekend. Mediterranean/Quebecois styles preferred in the moderate budget range. Any suggestions most appreciated.

      2 choices ;
      F Bar : for mediteranean (or the big brother "Ferreira" )
      Brasserie t : for "québecois" (or french oriented québécois cuisine) (or big brother($$$) Toqué! )

          Agree, F Bar is a solid recommendation (forget Ferreira, it's amazing, but not "moderately" priced, same owner anyway).

          I'm not a fan of Brasserie T (limited menu, extremely tiny portions), but it is popular.

            Are you talking about the same Brasserie T that Maximilien is? Limited menu and extremely tiny portions? Seriously? What on earth did you order there that would have given you that impression?

                Yes I am. Went around the time it opened a few years ago. Had an escargot appetizer. I was literally presented with 3 escargots.

                I have to say their menu has more options today. But trust me, back then it didn't.
