My ultra yummy pot roast

We had a cold snap today in No.California which put me in the mood for comfort food. I was in a lazy mood so I bought a chuck roast, a can of french onion soup (I am not usually a fan of canned soups) and Guinness Black Lager. At home I seasoned and seared the roast, combined the soup and lager, plus 1 cup water added about half a head of chopped garlic and two bay leaves. Put it all in my pressure cooker for about 30 minutes. It turned out really good. It was on the sweet side, which was a good excuse to serve it with horseradish sauce. I never knew a pot roast could taste so succulent. I am used to more complicated preparations, but this one, though very simple, was great. I think next time to counteract the sweetness I'll add a little tomato paste. I am looking forward to the sandwiches!
