Going to hit up the food flash mob in Niagara-on-the-Lake that Stone Road Grille, Ravine Vineyard and Garrison House are holding tonight at 11.

I plan to have brunch/lunch this coming week at the Garrison House. Are there any recommendations?

The burger is a seriously delicious restaurant burger (note: not a flat top, American-style cheese burger) and they have very good fries. I also really enjoyed the pan seared rainbow trout with green beans and potato salad. It's a very simply prepared plate, but the ingredients really shone (fresh local beans, local new potatoes). I tried the Vij's curry, and it was just ok for me. I've never eaten at Vij's in Vancouver so don't have a point of comparison. It was more like a British pub curry, rather than something you'd find at an Indian restaurant in Toronto. Plus there was way too much sauce vs. rice for my taste, but that's just me. Most people would probably be happy to have more curry vs. rice.

The only dessert I've tried is the milk chocolate tart. I'd give it pass and go up the street to the Pie Plate for dessert.
