Coming Nov. 1 - THE SEA by Alexander's Steakhouse - Formerly Trader Vics in Palo Alto

Hubster & I are watching our calorie intake in preparation for a trip to HI in 3 weeks. So after a salad at Max's Palo Alto we decided to have a mai tai in place of dessert and made a stop at Trader Vics on ECR. Lo and behold we spotted a posting touting the coming of THE SEA (A high-end seafood venue), by Alexander's Steakhouse. Anyone have details to share? Am anticipating it to be phenomenal. Last day for TV is tomorrow.

I, for one, am happy to see a new venue, though sounds like it will be another pretentious fancy affair. But I will reserve judgement.

Trader Vics had such a nice facade and ambiance that it perpetually disappointed when it came to the food (though my young sons were very impressed with it)

According to their website, the last day was yesterday -- in case anyone else was thinking of going by there today.

Nuts, sort of. I wish they kept the tiki and just added better food. But I admit to not stopping off there often, and when I'm in a tropical party mood going to Nola instead, so maybe it's time for a change.

True that but the drinks were stiff, and reasonable. BTW isn't NOLA (in PA) cajun-creole? Maybe you were thinking of Hurricanes LOL!
