legendary palace-upstairs vs downstairs for dim sum? (need answer fast)

essvee Aug 3, 2012 10:01 AM

I have a belief that the dim sum is better upstairs. I haven't been able to test this theory because they haven't let me sit upstairs in years. I haven't been for some time because the downstairs dim sum has been so lackluster. What say you folks? Should I go and make a fuss to sit upstairs? I really want some very delicious dim sum...

The only way the dimsum would be different is if they had completely different kitchens on each floor, right? I've had fine dimsum upstairs but it's nothing to write home about.

I feel like there is better cart rotation sitting upstairs rather than down.

Thanks for the replies. Read around on the board and realized I had forgotten about East Ocean. Had maybe the best salt and pepper calamari I've ever had today.

East Ocean is a much better choice for deliciousness.

I usually go there for takeout, but when I've waited in the lobby, I see countless people just walk in and go straight upstairs; no one tells them where to go. (This is during the week, perhaps it's different on weekends?)
