where can I get a great picnic dinner

I want to take my sweetie on a romantic picnic dinner to watch the sunset.

I have the location of the dinner (Berkeley), but I do not have the time or skill to pack a picnic. Quite frankly, I cannot even make toast.

Can anyone recommend a place where I can purchase a gourmet to-go picnic?

In a perfect world, we tend to appreciate well executed food over high concept food. In other words, great fried chicken is much better than underseasoned truffle cappuccino foie gras frog legs.

In Elmwood: http://summerkitchenbakeshop.com/menu and there's a wine shop directly across the street and you could pop in to Ici next door and ignoring/cutting the line for ice cream go to the counter on the left and get some mignardese (candies/cookies) for after your picnic.

If No. Berkeley is a better location: http://www.labedaine.com/menu.html

    Or West Berkeley: http://www.pastashop.net/

Second on Summer Kitchen. I don't think you can beat them for this purpose.
