Non chain bars downtown

I am looking for some good bars downtown to watch some games. Preferably that don't feel corporate, have a good amount of TVs, good food and where one may occasionally see the owner. Does this exist?

How about "Downtown Johnny Bown's" in the Civic Center?

Love the beer selection there and have always found the staff very friendly but the food is nothing special. Tons of TVs, shuffleboard and pool as well.

The Field is good if you're in the mood for some Gaelic ambiance.

Bareback Grill has good burgers and isn't what I would call a chain (though they have another location in PB).

The Local would be another idea. Food there is not bad as I recall, and they have plenty of TVs. Definitely not a chain.
