Santa Rosa plums in or around Santa Rosa?

Hey all. Does anyone have a source for real Santa Rosa plums in or around Santa Rosa? The few times I find them in a market, they're just not the same. If you've had them, you know what I mean. Thanks for the help! :)

    The local season has passed.

What is the availability (in SF/Ferry Building or winelands) of one of my all-time favorites, "Late Duarte" plums? I'll be visiting in mid-August. Thanks!

I think it's probably late. We finished the last of our Santa Rosa plums from our tree in San Rafael a couple of weeks ago, as they were about to turn. It was an abundant season. Lots of plum jam. plum chutney and plum sauce, but the fresh ones are gone.

Haven't been there recently, but Imwalle's Produce on W. Third between Dutton and Stony Point Roads is usually a good source of locally grown produce like Santa Rosa plums, persimmons, apples, pineapple guavas, grapes, tomatoes and figs.

Call them to check out the lead.

And please tell us too. :)
