Toaster Oven (office environment)

I'm in charge of buying a new toaster oven for our office. Our headcount is < 10. We want something reliable. I guess we'd mainly be using it for toast and heating up pizza and sandwiches. It will certainly get used multiple times a day. It needs to have a "stainless steel" exterior (could be black and stainless).

I'm having trouble finding something that gets good reviews that isn't a whole bunch of money.

The Cuisinart TOB-40 looked good until I read there's no timer for many of the functions ("The intern started the fire!").

The B&D TRO420? Eh.

At home we have the Cuisinart TOB-155 but it seems like overkill - though maybe not?

You may be tempted to respond, "What's the big deal? Just go to Best Buy and grab something?" but the person who picked the flaky coffee machine gets ribbed frequently and I want to avoid that plight! :-)

TIA, Sara

I wouldn't put too much stock in the function timer. How can the Cuis factory know how dark I want something, and how close element happens to be in relation the rack. You gotta watch it anyway

Consider ease of cleaning when shopping. The nicest colleagues can turn into complete assholes when it comes to cleaning shared kitchen items.

        That's a great point.

What's your definition of " a whole bunch of money"

That's a good question. I was trying to avoid people suggesting I buy the "most often recommended $250 toaster oven superstar"!

I was happy with the idea of spending $80 on the Cuisinart until I found out it had no timer. It seems like the next price point upwards is ~$140 which feels like a lot but going lower to ~$50 feels like you get a LOT less for your money.

Longer answer: I'd like to spend less than $140 and much less if I could find something well regarded and reliable.
