Lobster menu items?

I'm craving lobster!! I cook it myself, but want a change.

Has anyone seen any new interesting Lobster menus lately at any restaurants in the city?

Example is Scaramouche puts on a Lobsterliscious, and The Keg has their lobster fest on now.. but is there any other restaurants that have added lobster to their menus this season?

Cheers!

  1. For something really special and different go 'Chinese'!!

eg: O'Mei: Giant lobster 4 ways
    - Steamed claws with minced garlic and rice wine over rice vermicelli
    - Sauteed lobster tail with house secret premium soya based sauce.
    - Deep fried head with peppered spiced salt
    - Lobster brain and dried scallops fried rice

Emperor: Stirred fry lobster with shallots and garlic chips

The Oriental Gourmet: Stirred fry lobster with Pumpkin cream sauce

Win's Seafood: Stewed lobster with butter and Rum cream sauce......

    .... to name a few!!

Thanks Charles. I will keep it in mind, though, we don't' tend to eat Chinese a lot as the sodium content in a lot of dishes is way to high for us as we watch our sodium intake carefully. Those sauces are killer for hidden salt!
        But they do sound yummy!

Hey, Charles, do you know what O'Mei is charging per lb. these days? Lobster prices are low.

          1. re: grandgourmand

Still charging an arm and a leg at $19 a pound! Guess their management does not give a damn about current low market price!!

      2. Probably not different from what you do, but was at the Drake last night and saw that they do a Sunday night lobster dinner for $32. It included a 1 lb lobster, some sides, dessert and I think a beer.

        1. Grace upstairs does a lobster boil each Wed night during the summer. $20 for a lobster and sides are extra.

          1. Porchetta absolutely knocked it out of the park with their Lobster Roll this past Saturday. Those guys have it dialed over there.

I'm always up for a good lobster roll. Will have to check this out! Thanks.

They top it off with some kind of thinly sliced fried pork product (sorry, don't remember what exactly and don't want to get it wrong) buttered roll, mayo, and hickory sticks which where an awesome touch. They said they won't have it this coming Saturday but will be back the Saturday after. Check their Twitter just to be sure and get there early if you can.

              2. re: Notorious P.I.G.

I believe that they sold out within a couple hours.

                1. re: JennaBean

I got one. Went away to eat at Brasiliano. Then came back to get the last one. That was around 1pm-2pm or so.

              3. Lobster fritters are offered as an appetizer at Zee right now. http://www.zeegrill.com/menu.html

Might not be new or interesting, but I love the (continental) classic lobster with drawn butter and lemon at Starfish.
