Lunch at Tahoe's north end

  • 2

We will be in Reno for four days in August but I cannot get that close to Tahoe without a visit, so will rent a car and zip up there for lunch, probably taking the Mt Rose route not I-80. Would love to gaze at Lake and enjoy lunch before heading back downhill. Any suggestions? We like any kind of cuisine as long as of good quality.
TIA

Too late for OP but I agree. I don't think any place has a better view of the lake. The food is good and dependable and affordable. But it's all about the view, isn't it? I haven't been to West Shore Cafe (either before they closed or after they reopened) so don't know about their view. Jakes in Tahoe City, Gar Woods in Carnelian Bay and Jason's in Kings Beach all have outdoor, lakefront seating but not close to Sunnyside (IMneverHO!) :)
