went to proof bakery, and had the chocolate croissant and a cappachino, and the glorified cream puff entitled Paris Brest, and then sauntered over for some smokey cue at big mista, 1/4 pound of brisket with those delicious, ultra-fatty, beautiul, orgasmic burnt ends, that literally melts in your mouth, and a 1/4 pound of smoked turkey, beautiflly smoked, for turkey and delicious.

possibly the best breakfast in town.

though didn't someone mention their was a gourmet breakfast food truck that parks right in front of proof bky.

C'mon, kevin, don't make us work so hard. Proof Bakery is Glendale/Atwater village. Big Mista is at the Glendale Famers' Market on Sundays 10-12 or so?

Is Big Mista satisfied with the business they have? Just don't understand why they haven't infiltrated any of the westside famers markets, such as the Pico/Cloverfeld Sat morn or the WLA Santa Monica Blvd. Sunday morn. I note that Big Mista seems to have left the El Segundo Thurs afternoon market, which opened too late in the afternoon for me anyway.

i did like the character of the el segundo one.

just so there's no confusion, he does have the stand on sundays at atwater, yep, behind the wells fargo. i love that novel stretch of glendale blvd. lots of goods there including joints i havebn't had the chance to try yet such as canele and tacos villa corona, which i believe is highly esteemed for their potato tacos.

anyhow, the big mista stand is about a two block walk from the bakery.

my bad, big mista is also in atwater village on sundays. they might have two going on at the same time if that is possibly conceivable.

i think i first started going to the el segundo one, but the time was never convenient. once i went there for a late lunch but was really planning on it, and i don't like to go for dinner because it's all like leftovers by then, and they wouldn't have the red velvet cupcakes either.

but the lack of desserts at the big mista in atwater would not be a problem, given that you are already going to proof for your desserts.
