Excellent meal at Ai Fiori
Had dinner last night at Ai Fiori. Heard good things about it and was expecting a good meal, turned out it was an EXCELLENT meal.
Started with expertly made cocktails at the bar and the food continued the theme the rest of the evening.
We did the recommended 4 courses (in retrospect maybe we'll just do al la carte next time, it was a lot of food).
I may eleborate later but suffice it to say everything we ate was wonderful, for me the simply prepared sardine appetizer was perfect but the star of my evening was the veal agnolotti, I'll be going back to the bar for that fix often. I also had the duck which was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, great combination of flavors but I was so full half way through the dish I felt I didn't do it justice. GF (a vegatarian) had the zuccini soup (sans prawns), a beautiful heirloom tomato preperation, and an incredible egg ravioli (her favorite dish of the evening). She enjoyed everything greatly. Desserts were out of this World good, I had the panna cotta, GF had the olive oil cake.
Service was wonderful, very attentive without hovering, extremely knowledgeable table Captain answered any questions regarding the menu and offered plenty of suggestions.
