Mail order sources/brands for New Mexico chili powder
A few years ago while in Albuqurque (sp) for work I stopped in a random grocery store and bought 3 cellophane packets of chili powder. 2 were almost the same color and one was darker. i have been using a mix of these 3 to make chili and this is what I like. Unfortunately i am almost out and don't know how or where to buy the same stuff. I stupidly did not save the labels.
I am hoping to find something pretty close on-line and looking for source recommendations.
I looked on Amazon and saw Frontier which someone had a negative comment about silicone dioxide? (What's that about) and also Colorado Spice company which I don't know if they use New Mexico peppers.
After reading a chowhound thread I checked out the Hatch website which has 1 "color" or type of red chili powder.
Any other recommendations?
