There are lots of uses.
You can make a simple syrup with them to put in sparkling water. Use less sugar if you don't like it as sweet.
Or an unsweetened puree for over meat like pork or poultry.
Or throw a few whole berries into sauces for meats.
Or make a sweetened puree for over desserts, like ice cream, or panna cotta, or cakes or . . . .
The black ones need to be cooked to taste good. And add some undefinable unami (sp) thing that is in the background.

Crush 2/3 of them up and put them in a bottle of vodka about 750ml in a dark place for a week.
carefully strain in a coffee filter and add the remain ing currents for a little garnish. While they soak in the vodka before you do this pour about 1/2 cup of the vodka out to soak the remaining currents.›1 Reply
