Home Canned Green Bean Ideas!

So I have a really nice jar of home canned green beans that my grandmother gave me and I am wanting to do something other than Presto cooker them as she always does with a slice of bacon. I would love to do something with them and some of the bacon fat I have rendered on the fridge, but am questioning what else to do with them.

I have read about all the garlic plus onions, you know, the simple stuff. But I want something TOTALLY off the wall that I could do with them. I love techniques that require some time to prepare, almost like a project. It gets me very excited and inspires me to cook new things. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing any suggestions if you have them!

P.S. - I have almost any ingredient known to man at my disposal in my kitchen. Fresh morels, shiitake mushrooms, chanterelles, marinated veggies of all sorts, every seasoning and plant in the alium family, so feel free to suggest some off the wall stuff. And I don't mind sourcing ingredients!

Also, I have a ton of canned whole kernel sweet corn and black eyed peas. Feel free to throw out anything there too! The garden was good to us this year.

Take your home canned beans, whole sweet corn, black eyed peas, red onion and make a salad with some sugar, vinegar, salad oil. Chill and serve.

hoping grandma canned them in a pressure canner (NOT a water bath canner) since they are a low acid veggie. Do make sure you heat them to a boiling temperature before you eat them.....botulism loves green beans.

I would make a green bean casserole with the bacon fat....and even more bacon! Google some recipes and then improve the casserole with whatever you have from your garden.
