need an eggless marshmallow creme filling recipe (for filling cupcakes)

Hi,

I'm trying to find an eggless recipe to make marshmallow filling (not marshmallows) because my son is allergic to eggs (& nuts). All I can find are eggless recipes for marshmallows, but not for a softer marshmallow creme filling. Do you think I could follow a marshmallow recipe (like Alton Brown's) and use less gelatin to keep them from setting firmly?

Any other suggestions?
thanks!

p.s. have you thought about posting this in vegan and vegetarian forum or even special diets? you can flag your post and the mods can move it for you. people there may have more ideas.

you can get vegan marshmallow called Ricemellow at somewhere like Whole Foods or a similar store. it comes in a big tub and it's not quite like Fluff but does the trick. My child suffers from the same allergies as yours and i always use this. good luck.

what exactly are you filling? not sure exactly what you are making?

is this something you could whiz together with marshmallow fluff and maybe cream cheese or butter?
