Group of 12 (including kids) in greenpoint/ Williamsburg or Sunnyside/Woodside

Looking for a place to take my mother for her birthday. There will be 9 adults and 3 kids, not many adventurous eaters in the group. Best bets food wise wood be Italian or very basic American. I know it's not much to go on, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Money is (almost) no object. Thanks!!

Fiore in Williamsburg is perfectly fine inexpensive pasta/Italian and always has room.

We made reservations at Manducatis Rustica, but Fiore is now on my list of places I want to check out.

Bamonte's in Greenpoint is great old school atmosphere. The Soprano's eat there often.

Sidetracks in Sunnyside fits the bill.

That is a perfect example of the type of place we're looking for. Sidetracks has always been kind of the default place we go when the whole family is together. Hoping to go somewhere different this time.

Not that long ago Donovan's would have been an option but not now. The Sunnyside Post had an article this week that it is closing. How about Manducati's? Another nice spot in LIC is Alobar though more bistro than Ital/Amer.

Manducatis or manducatis rustica? I completely forgot about rustica, but think it would work. I've never been to Manducatis. I'll take a look at Alobar. Thanks for the help!! I'm bummed about Donovan's. I think it's slipped a bit and the service was never great, but I still love the burgers.
