chicken breast partially cooked during defrosting (in microwave)
I was defrosting these chicken breasts in the microwave. In the end, parts of it (especially around the edges) were cooked, while most of the rest was still raw.
I was going to use part of it today, and put the rest in the fridge to use tomorrow.
My question is, is it safe to leave chicken in the fridge that's partially cooked - of course I'm going to cook it completely when I get to it. This probably sounds incredibly stupid but I'm just paranoid lol

Yeah, I'm pretty sure after microwave thawing you're supposed to cook it right away.
With that said... I leave meat out on the counter to thaw - always have, always will - and I'm still kickin' and have never been made sick. Grew up that way... For chicken breasts, if I want to make them that day and they're frozen, I just stick in a cold water bath, doesn't take too long to thaw. I try to avoid microwave defrosting.

The USDA-FSIS recommends cooking chicken immediately after thawing in a microwave.
