Reservations needed for Cafe Chloe
Thought we would have a late dinner (8:30) after meeting. There will be four of us next Wednesday night. I understand that they do not take reservations. Do you think we will be seated right away, or are they very crowded on a Wednesday night?

Attention San Diego Restauranteurs: THIS is how you do food and service.
We had lunch at Cafe Chloe today. The greeting was pleasant and welcoming. The service was spot on; efficient and professional, but not rushed. Our server was warm and friendly without being intrusive. The ambiance was like a tiny sliver of Paris in the East Village. We felt relaxed, well cared for, and though CC used organic ingredients, the staff does not force a holier than thou speech about their organic chops on the guest.
The food was simply excellent. We shared the pork Charcuterie (loved it). I had the smoked trout which was a beautiful blend of texture and flavor. The wonderful salty, smoky flavor was off-set perfectly by fingerling potatoes and apples, with a dash of creme fraiche for good measure. Husband had the salmon with heirloom tomatoes and practically inhaled the whole thing in 30 seconds.
Excellent meal! (and I didn't mind the chairs).
