I guess this is a 'plug' for one of the 'little guys' but thought some folks might be interested...I received email today from "The Internet Kitchen Store" (Eglinton west...just a bit west of Duplex)(Yonge & Eglinton area). They are having a sale on Japanese Knives...this is a great store with a substantial website...owners are super nice....check it out...

    Thanks but where's the "sale?"

I find the prices high and the selection minimal.
If you want to support local knife merchants I suggest "Knife" on Queen west or Tosho Knife Arts in Mirvish Village. Both great stores with fantastic selection and customer service.

sorry ..if you thought I was 'misleading you about little guys'...It is a little store and they have on several occasions be very helpful in terms of 'ordering' stuff (not knives) for me and I have been impressed with their ability to find 'hard to find elsewhere' implements for kitchen use...if you indeed, have other places for knives that are of more variety, cheaper prices and good service by all means..patronize them....

Think you have me confused with someone else..

I live almost next door to this shop(talk about local),and have tried to support them, but have always found better selection and prices elsewhere..
No doubt your experience with them has been a positive one, mine has not

Just as you have the right to "plug the little guy" I have every right to point out other options.

            Cheers!
