August 2012 New Orleans Dish of the Month: Voting Thread

Here are the nominations for the first New Orleans Dish of the Month:

GAZPACHO

SHRIMP REMOULADE

SNO-BALLS

If people feel strongly about other dishes that I haven't included, they are welcome to do write-in votes as well.

The voting thread will be open until 9 AM PST on July 31st, and each user can only vote once. To vote, write your favorite in ALL CAPS as a reply to this thread - votes that are non in caps won't be counted. The voting is open to everyone, regardless of whether you participated in the nomination thread.

On July 31st we'll create the main Dish of the Month thread and get started!

Since no one has voted, and I am very interested in the topic, I choose sno-balls as this month's Dish of the Month.

I'm extending the voting period until 9 AM PST on August 1st, to give people time to vote.

Even though the lack of responses here makes it seems like there's little interest in this project, I know that plenty of people have looked at these threads. So, people are reading! This type of project will hopefully encourage lurkers to become posters....so it's in the interest of to everyone to help make this happen, since great threads can come out of it.
