Steaks: is Prime the way to go?
Traveling to Las Vegas with my family. My family is from the South (I live in NYC) and loves a good classic steak. We don't want to break the bank, but know that Vegas prices are what they are.
Is Prime the right choice for a classic steak with an interesting atmosphere? Would love your thoughts.
TIA!

It is a very good steak and one of the most beautiful settings for a steak house. It is expensive as another poster stated, but they generally all are. If I were to choose between Prime at Bellagio and SW at Wynn I would choose SW.
Also, look at Charlie Palmers for the Cut of the Week menu. It is $48 (+tax and tip, so figure $60 ALL IN!) for 3 courses and bottomless glass of wine. It is, by far, one of the best deals on the strip.

I ate dinner at Prime many years ago (it was shortly after the Venetian first opened) and thoroughly loved it. The steaks were great and the side dishes were all excellent. The only problem was the table near us with people wearing tee-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops. But it's Vegas, so expect that at many high-end restaurants.
