Cowfish in Hampton Bays! Wowfish!
We had dinner @ Cowfish last night and I realized I never wrote a review of this fabulous new place in Hampton Bays which is in the old Indian Cove location.
We ate Al Fresco on their upper deck overlooking the Shinnecock Canal. It was very busy last night but it's a much bigger place than Rumba down the street (same owner) so we were seated quickly.
The appetizers are unusual and outstanding. We had:
Cornbread which comes out in an individual cast iron skillet. Very moist with corn niblets and green pepper?
Jumbo Buffalo shrimpwhich were very tasty and had a nice crumbled blue cheese topping.
Maui Wowi "roll" which is a lobster/mango sushi roll topped with a crab sauce. My favorite.
Tuna Poke was sort of like a Napoleon with raw tuna, strawberry, avocado, pineapple and mango. Very nice
Entrees were a perfectly cooked ample and juicy pork chop with mole sauce.
Rack of ribs that would easily feed three people.
NOLA shrimp which had an interesting brown sauce and cornbread.
For dessert we all shared the special huge chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!
The place has a great energy and fabulous service. Also a nice outdoor bar.
