Ceremony and wedding venue suggestions, please help!
I'm looking for a place with some specific requirements for a wedding, probably in September, 2013, possibly May 2013.
Ceremony and wedding in same location. 125 people.
Absolutely not looking for a traditonal hall.
Food has to be great, or at least above-average. I love the food at the AGO, but the price there is astronomical.
Nice outdoor space with seating, so if the weather's good, the smokers, among others who'll want to be outside, aren't relegated to an area way out back somewhere. A nice covered patio or garden would be ideal. I'd like the indoor and outdoor spaces to flow together.
No sit-down, but cocktail type reception on Friday night. The plan is to have the ceremony start about 7:00 - 7:20 or 7:30 ish, light nibblies or canapes until about 8:00-8:30, then a couple of food stations, then turn the lights down and music up and dance at about 9:30. Timing is really just a guess at this point.
Seating for at least half, including some large (seat 8-10) tables, small tables with chairs, cruiser table, and perhaps some sofa type seating.
Sufficient washroom facilities without going up or down stairs.
Prefer not to spend a fortune on decorating.
Berkeley Field House is a great space with everything, except it's woefully lacking in washrooms. Three stalls for women and one for the men just doesn't work.
Would like to keep it to around $100 pp for the catering package. Venue fees and alcohol on top of that.
Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated - many thanks.
