Malt powder (NOT malted milk) in milkshakes?

I have some non-diastatic malt powder I bought for baking breads. I'm wondering if I can also use it to make malted milkshakes. I think milkshakes usually use "malted milk" which as far as I understand is a different product, but does anyone know if this is a possible substitution? I think I have way more than I'll be able to use in a reasonable time for the amount of baking I do, so I'd love to find some fun additional uses.

Just throw it into a glass jar in the freezer and it will last forever and can be used straight from the freezer.

Great, thanks! I's still love to know the answer, though. I guess I can just try it and find out...
