Birthday dinner pickup in Westwood

hello food people!

Had a babysitter snafu and now looks like I won't be taking my wife out to dinner tonite.

Any help on where I can pick up a nice birthday dinner in Westwood on the way home from work? We have no food allergies or aversions (except some organ meats).

Help?

Thank you!

Toscana will pack up a lovely meal for you. No doubt, they will give you some extra goodies if you mention the circumstances.

I always order way too much and then eat the left overs the next day (or later that night - depending on what my stomach tells me to do).

              Menu:

For take-out , I surely would not order fish or veal. They pack up the pastas beautifully, as well as the salads. The artichoke salad is always wonderful. The chicken dishes also fare well as take-out. When you call, ask for Antonella. She is so nice and will make sure you get the menu you want for this nice occasion.

                Cheers to Servog and Maudies5!

We had a fantastic birthday dinner at home comprised of takeout from both Toscana and Fundamental.

Insalate di carciofi AND di rucola
                Bisteca con fagioli

On the way home, I swung by fundamental for
                Lamb belly
                Eggplant
dessert courses: Panna Cotta w aged balsamic
                (2) caramel cookies

                It was sublimation.

Much thanks to the food people of chowhound. You do it right!
