Foundry's AYCE Crawfish Boil...has anyone been??

Has anyone been to the foundry's crawfish boil?? It's on sundays and includes jambalaya and hurricanes.

On a side note, has anyone tried the ayce fried chicken @a-frame?? TIA!!

You MUST read Chris Erskine's column in today's L-A Times.....when he talks about the crawfish boil. Very funny. Best line "a crawfish is a lobster without an agent."

Music was great! Crawfish was over cooked.

        re: the food
        crawfish was overcooked and over-salted.
jambalaya showed no evidence of any seafood content. the only discernible tastes were rice, seasonings (mostly salt), sausage, pork. if there was any chicken or seafood content, it was not noticeable.

the best item of the food they served were the tiny sections of sweet corn that were served with a spicy broth.
even though the online menu said they'd be serving okra, there was no okra.

also, if you are going to serve a meal on paper plates with plastic utensils that your guests will be consuming while standing up, it would be nice if the tables (all of which are communal) were the proper height (i.e. tall enough) for stand-up-eating.

maybe i'm spoiled about music, but wasn't impressed with the music either.
i mean, obviously, i knew that they weren't going to be having BeauSoleil playing, but, imho, this just didn't cut it even for free music at a restaurant.

Tip! U really should have just put all your negative comments into ONE review. Much more helpful that way.

went to The Foundry's crawfish boil tonight.
        it was ok.
far from bad, but also, far from being a destination.

i induced a friend to do the driving.
all in all, the food was not worth the drive. . . . .

didn't cut it in terms of quality, quantity, nor overall experience, imho.

had the fried chicken at a fram a week ago. good chicken. the sauces that they give you with the chicken really lets it shine. the slaw was a bit weak but the sweet potato mash was great. all in all, for the price, pretty good.
