Ice cream parlors? Manhattan or beyond?

Are there any approximations of ice cream parlors left, or at least places known for sundaes and such? Apart from Serendipity? I mean something approximating a restaurant, not an ice cream stand like Sundaes and Cones on East 10th.

Even outside Manhattan. I made an expedition out to Hinsch in Brooklyn, but I hear that Jahn's is closed, and Eddie's not worth the trip.

Big Nick's on Broadway (UWS) has egg creams, matlteds, shakes, Ice Cream sodas, Hot fudge sundaes ,,, That's the closest I could find to an ice cream parlor ( which also used to be called a Candy Store or Luncheonette), although Jahn's was really known for that, "the kitchen sink" was beyond. Junior's has sundaes and such.
