Lobster Club
Years ago in Malibu there was a restaurant called Granita, it had a delicious Lobster Club, Lobster BLT and when my Mother would visit from NY she would always want one. Any ideas if there are any restaurants that have something similar? Thanks!!

Mariposa is a good suggestion--and you also get a delicious demitasse of bouillon to start (with an excellent cheese straw) and the wonderful popover. Another option is the Farm of Beverly Hills. The Palm used to offer a lobster blt at lunch, and could probably still do one on request, but it is not on the current menu; they have gone with a lobster roll instead.

re: New Trial
When we have that itch (lobster blt) we scratch it at The Farm. Good (without straying into great territory). They have locations in B. Hills and at the Grove next to the 3rd Street Farmers Market in LA: http://thefarmofbeverlyhills.com/

I love the Lobster Club @ Mariposa/ Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills.
It's not the BLT but it's avocado, hardboiled egg, bacon and lobster on toasted white bread. It's delicious. I'm sure they would improvise with the tomato and lettuce if you asked.›2 Replies -

re: perk
Granita was a Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Malibu. Around the same time that Puck opened Granita in Malibu, he also opened Postrio in San Francisco. The Lobster Club was the star of both shows. It really was pretty amazing. Now, it is not all-that-unusual to find a lobster club on a menu. Really, we are only talking about an excellent BLT with addition of lobster.
