I saw a great cookbook in Hoi An that one of the restaurants/ cooking schools puts out. The restaurant had some of the best food we ate in Vietnam and the cookbook is beautiful and really goes into details about the ingredients and techniques and culture. It's called Taste Vietnam- the Morning Glory cookbook
