It's very good value, which was reinforced for me when I was stuck trying to get brekkie in west Scarborough and ended up at the Wexford.
Maria couldn't afford to repair the sign and apparently didn't realize how much people liked it, which is too bad.
Great, personal service and very family-friendly. -

re: atomeyes
I like the crispier type of home fries served at Detroit Eatery (on Danforth closer to Chester) more than the less crispy, paprika-dusted-parboiled-before-frying-type at Motorama. Everything else on the plate was very good for the price point, and at least as good as a similar breakfast at Detroit Eatery.
This breakfast was better than recent bacon & egg breakfasts I've had at Steve's and the Fry Basket, and as good as any I've had at Goodbite. Service at Motorama is friendly, and more laid-back than most busy diners closer to Yonge & Eg or King E. No one is encouraging anyone to rush their breakfast, which I like.
The menu has a wider variety of options than most Greek-run diners at this price point, such as Eggs Benedict, omelettes with spinach, etc. There is more space between tables, and more seating than at Detroit Eatery, so Motorama might have a slight edge for families with children.
Not sure how Motorama compares to The Bus Terminal further east.

re: atomeyes
I wasn't trying to suggest it's a "must-visit". It's a good $8.95 greasy spoon breakfast, that includes 3 kinds of breakfast meat, when many places make you choose 1 type for an $8.95 breakfast.
If Steve's is your least liked restaurant in the GTA and the main reason you wanted to try a greasy spoon was the vintage sign that no longer exists, Motorama, Detroit, Goodbite, the Patrician and The Fry Basket aren't going to impress you much. They're better than Steve's, but similar types of restaurants to Steve's. You probably are much better off sticking with Goody's.
