I like it ....but my first choices are still The Original Pancake House, Uncle Bill's, North End Cafe and Martha's.

            Thanks.

Cool. Yeah, I went to Uncle Bill's a couple months gone (after a few years grace period). Not half bad though not exceptional.

And I think I like North End Cafe's location better than the food, though they do make a wide variety of espresso-influenced drinks. Including one with an orange peel (do you know what I am talking about ?)

Can't remember the name for that espresso drink.

Kevin -- Someone needs to sample the breakfast burritos at Brothers Burritos. It's owned by Ronnie of Ronnie's Diner (which is why I'm mentioning it to you, re: the other thread).

      Here is the breakfast menu:

I'll hit it up again, when I'm in the area, in about a week and report back.

If you didn't see this thread then take a look at this post and, if you end up at Ronnie's during breakfast, see about getting the chorizo bowl http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8592...

Thanks. Yeah, I missed that post. Appreciate the link.

Damn, now I'm hungry, I may even have to go for the fish and chips instead.

And I am overdue on their pretty decent double cheeseburger combo.

The bacon, Egg, and avocado breakfast burrito is really good. We call ahead to order as it can get quite busy.

Martha's in Hermosa is really good for beach atmosphere and view. I like the Thai or Spanish omelette.

I really like North End Cafe (Huevos Divorciados corn tortillas topped with cheddar, pepper jack, bacon, sausage, avocado, eggs over easy, red & green salsa, with potatoes
or their Zachary sandwich with hard fried egg, brie, bacon, raspberry jam) and Uncle Bill's Pancake House (bacon cheddar waffles) both in Manhattan Beach and Martha's 22nd St. Grill in Hermosa Beach (great scrambles my favorite is their Scrambled Havarti and white corn).

MB Post has brunch on weekends only (POACHED EGG asparagus, creamy polenta, bianco sardo or their FRENCH TOAST stuffed with quince and ricotta, star anise macerated pears, chestnut honey) Expensive but really good.
